In 2006, we started to experiment with a philosophy we called ‘the job nobody else wants.’ Short-term missions is a loaded phrase. Many short-term mission organizations, for either practical or spiritual reasons, have a set agenda when it comes to the ‘mission’ portion of their organization. The ultra-evangelical gravitate towards preachy dramas, passing out tracts and/or street evangelism.  Practical groups want lots of heavy-duty labor.
